Glimpses of Chimera X

Being one of the most significant events conducted by the chapter, Chimera holds a place for itself. This paramount event has a legacy of 15 years behind it, which has helped it evolve for the better. Right from its inception, it has been receiving an overwhelming response with a footfall of over 2000 from various colleges across the country. This year the sublime event is back with an all new format and structure. Expanding the horizons of Chimera, the prelims were organised in 9 cities (Allahabad, Gwalior, Raipur, Agra, Ujjain, Nagpur, Jabalpur, Indore, Bhopal) last year, up from 3 cities the year before last. We've strived to create an enjoyable yet assimilative experience for the participants (8521 to be precise) , in the past and hope to continue to do so this year.


In an attempt to bring a smile on the face of those less fortunate childrens who always dreamt to have a city ride in luxurious cars, ISTE Students’ Chapter MANIT came up with a social initiative ͞JOYRIDE͟. It was organized in collaboration with the NGO HOPE working towards welfare of underpreveliged children, and was sponsored by NISSAN. The rally consisting of cars owned by NISSAN and Volunteers for the social cause carrying the children accompanied by students from Team HOPE and Team ISTE, flagged off from MANIT. The entire journey was broadcasted by 93.5 Red FM . After a joyful journey, the kids enjoyed a meal at the foodfest where several food stalls offered several different cuisines for them to taste. The children left the college premises with contented and happy faces. ISTE MANIT looks forward to have similar events serving for social causes in the coming sessions.


ISTE SC MANIT organized a two day workshop of ethical hacking, robotics and internet of things in collaboration with WAC (What After College). The Robotics and Internet Of Things workshop It received an overwhelming response with a footfall of around 80 enthusiastic participants , 65 through online registrations and the rest registered online. Around 15 of them were from MANIT and the rest from different engineering colleges all around Bhopal. The two day (12 hour) workshop was conducted by Mr.Yogendra Verma who covered the following topics:

The workshop got a highly positive response from the participants and was hailed as a "good learning curve" by the students. ISTE SC MANIT and WAC's combined efforts contributed to participants having a strong initiation in the prospective era defining fields of IOT and Ethical Hacking.


ISTE Students’ Chapter MANIT in session 2016-17 introduced ͞Anubhuti͟, which was the first ever Talk show organised in MANIT. The Chief guest for the event, Mr. Yogesh Chaudhary, IG Bhopal motivated the youth to abide by laws and set an example for coming generation. He shared his experience as an Engineer at IIT Delhi and also told about his journey from being an Backbencher to being Bhopal’s top cop. Ms. Ira Trivedi, an Indian born columnist, yoga acharya, Miss India 2005 contestant and best selling author of seven books, motivated the students to inculcate the habit of reading in life. While talking about the importance of yoga in life she even performed some yogasanas. Robin Jagtap, eminent orator and our 3rd guest, motivated the crowd through his life experiences and his weird though interesting journey
